Keeping it Fresh

Shortly after I made my daily painting commitment, I began keeping an art journal as a means of recording ideas (in a flexible format) and experimenting (with materials that might not be appropriate for a daily painting). I found art journalling to be a fantastically addictive habit, too.

Can you see where this is going? I shared my journals with a couple friends, and before I knew it, there was a line of students outside the studio.

So here’s the skinny.

Kid’s journalling (ages 5 to 15) happens seasonally, so 4 times/year, in 5 session long workshops that meet on alternate weeks. Classes are $15 each or $60 for the whole shebang (5 sessions), with all supplies but the journal provided.

grownUPs journalling (no particular age or level of maturity required) is on the third Thursday of each month. Classes are $15. Again, all supplies but the journal are included.

Occasionally I book a special event/class at the Orion Township Public Library (these classes are free, baby!), so shoot me a note for any details.

Everything happens at Little Monsters Toy Store in downtown Lake Orion. Reservations are required (so that I come prepared with an adequate amount of materials and supplies).
